Main Menu |
|
The DBISAM Manager main menu provides the following submenus:
|
Database |
This menu allows you to
|
Register an existing database in the Register Database Dialog (you need this to start working with the database in DBISAM Manager) |
|
Unregister Database |
|
View registration information of the database, selected in the DB Explorer tree |
|
Register multiple databases on one host (Register Host) |
|
Unregister all databases on the host (Unregister Host) |
|
Connect to the database, selected in the DB Explorer tree |
|
Disconnect from the database, selected in the DB Explorer tree |
|
Add a new database to the server in the Add Database Wizard |
|
Delete the database, selected in the DB Explorer tree |
|
Create a new table |
|
Create a new table with the same properties as one of the existing has (Duplicate Object) |
|
Exit from DBISAM Manager (Hint: to disable confirming exit from DBISAM Manager use Environment Options | Preferences) |
|
View |
The View menu provides the following functions
|
Show/Hide the DB Explorer panel |
|
Select the displayed toolbars |
|
Show/Hide the SQL Assistant area |
|
Call the To-Do List for planning your work with the database |
|
Tools |
This menu gives access to the following DBISAM Manager tools
|
Query processing tools (SQL Editor and Visual Query Builder) |
|
SQL and Metadata processing tools (SQL Script, Extract Metadata, Print Metadata) |
|
Manager of users and users' grants (User Manager) |
|
External tools, added through the External Tools dialog. |

Services |
This menu provides tools for working with the server and maintaining databases and tables. See DBISAM Services for details.

Options |
The items of this menu give you full customization of all the DBISAM Manager tools and editors (see DBISAM Manager Options for details), managing External Tools and Localizing DBISAM Manager.
|
Windows |
This is a standard menu for managing the program windows, allowing switching between the windows, arranging windows, and closing all or selected windows quickly. For managing windows see also the Windows tab of the DB Explorer.
|
Help |
The Help menu allows you not only to call the help file you are reading, but also see what's new in the last version of DBISAM Manager, send a bug report and purchase DBISAM Manager on-line (see Purchasing DBISAM Manager for details).
