Toolbars |

The toolbars of the main window mostly correspond to the items of the Main Menu.
|

The Databases toolbar allows you to
|
Refresh the DB Explorer database tree (available only if MDI Style Environment is implemented; see Environment Options | Windows) |
|
Register an existing database in the Register Database Dialog (you need this to start working with the database in DBISAM Manager) |
|
Unregister Database |
|
Register multiple databases on one host (Register Host) |
|
Unregister all databases on the host (Unregister Host) |
|
Connect to the database, selected in the DB Explorer tree |
|
Disconnect from the database, selected in the DB Explorer tree |
|
Create a new table (default) or open the last edited table in the Table Editor. To change the button action use Environment Options | Tools. |
|
Select the DB Explorer view mode - show/hide table subobjects, enable permanent displaying Project View in DB Explorer, show/hide hosts, and select table details in SQL Assistant (available only if MDI Style Environment is implemented; see Environment Options | Preferences) |
The Tools toolbar provides the following functions

Show the last opened window of SQL Editor |

Open a new SQL Editor window |
|
Show last or open new Visual Query Builder window. |
|
Open the SQL Script Editor. |
|
Extract the database metadata and/or data to the SQL script (Extract Metadata Expert). |
|
Create a database metadata report in WYSIWYG mode, ready for printing (Print Metadata). |
|
Manage users and global privileges in the User Manager window. |
The Windows toolbar allows you to view the list of all opened program windows, arrange windows as you like, close all windows or switch between them.

All the toolbars are customizable. To select the buttons displayed on the toolbar click the down-arrow button at the left side of the toolbar, then click Add or Remove Buttons. Click on the button in the list to show or hide the button. Select Reset Toolbar to return the toolbar to its default state. Select Customize to customize all the window toolbars and menus in the Customize Toolbars dialog.
