Users

DBISAM Manager provides the User Manager for adding, deleting users, and granting privileges on the selected databases. Granting privileges on the selected databases allow user to perform the defined operation (select, update, insert) over all the tables of the selected database.

Add User

To add a new user

Select the Tools | User Manager menu item.

Click the Add User button in the User Manager.

Set new user name and privileges in the User Editor.

Edit User Privileges

To edit user privileges for databases

Select the Tools | User Manager menu item.

Select the database host from the drop-down list on the User Manager toolbar.

Right-click on the grid cell, where the row is the required database, and the column is the operation for granting (ALT - ALTER, SEL - SELECT, etc).

Select the Grant item from the popup menu to permit the selected operation over all the database tables.

or

4   Select the Revoke item from the popup menu to forbid the selected operation over all the database tables.

Delete User

      
To delete a user

Select the Tools | User Manager item.

Select a user to delete in the User Manager window.

Click the Delete User .

Confirm deleting in the dialog window.
