Using Navigation bar and Toolbar


The Navigation bar and Toolbar provide quick access to tools implemented in SQL Function editor.

 

Object

iconDB select a database

iconObjects_UDF select an SQL function for editing

 

General

iconExecute execute the current SQL Function

iconCompile compile the SQL function (if it is being created/modified)

iconShowSQLHelp show SQL help

iconPrint set printing options to print metadata of the SQL function

iconQuickSave save the object using the Quick Save feature

iconQuickLoad load the object from buffers using the Quick Load feature

iconRefresh refresh the content of the active tab

iconVisualModeswitches between Text and Visual editor modes

iconOptions adjust Object Editors options

iconRestoreDefaultSize restore the default size and position of the editor window

 

Tools

iconTools_DependencyTree view the dependency tree for the SQL function

iconGrantsOnObject define grants on the SQL Function

iconAutograntPrivileges set autogrant privileges for the SQL Function

iconDebugProcedure debug the SQL Function using Debugger

iconObjects_CreateView create a view based on the SQL Function

 

Depending on the current tab selection, the Navigation bar expands to one or more additional panes with tab-specific actions that can be useful for working with the SQL function:

 

Input Arguments

iconPlus append a new input argument

btnArrowRight insert an input argument

iconMinus delete the selected input argument

btnArrowUp move the selected input argument up

btnArrowDown move the selected input argument down

Export list - use it to export the arguments list to the specified format

 

Description

iconSaveToFile save object description to file

iconCopyToClipboard copy description to clipboard

 

DDL

iconSaveToFile save DDL to file

iconTools_SQLEditor open DDL in Execute Script

 

NOTE: Items of the Navigation bar are also available on the ToolBar of UDF Editor. To enable the toolbar, open the Environment Options dialog, proceed to the Windows section there and select RadioButton Toolbar (if you need the toolbar only) or RadioButton Both (if you need both the toolbar and the Navigation bar) in the Bar style for child forms group.
