Installation

If you are installing Data Generator for SQL Server for the first time on your PC:

• download the Data Generator for SQL Server distribution package from the download page available at our site;
• unzip the downloaded file to any local directory, e.g. C:\unzipped;
• run MsDataGenSetup.exe from the local directory and follow the instructions of the installation wizard;
• after the installation process is completed, find the Data Generator shortcut in the corresponding group of Windows Start menu.

If you want to upgrade an installed copy of Data Generator for SQL Server to the latest version:

• download the Data Generator for SQL Server distribution package from the download page available at our site;
• unzip the downloaded file to any local directory, e.g. C:\unzipped;
• close Data Generator application if it is running;
• run MsDataGenSetup.exe from the local directory and follow the instructions of the installation wizard.
