What is EMS Data Export for SQL Server utility?
A:
EMS Data Export for SQL Server is a powerful program to export your data quickly from Microsoft® SQL and MSDE databases to any of 20 available formats, including MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word (RTF), HTML, XML, PDF, TXT, CSV, DBF and others. Data Export for SQL Server includes a wizard, which allows you to set export options for each table visually (destination filename, exported fields, data formats, and much more) and a command line utility to export data from tables and queries in one-touch.

What do I need to start working with EMS Data Export for SQL Server?
A:
First of all you must have an opportunity to connect to some local or remote SQL Server. Besides you need your computer to satisfy the system requirements of EMS Data Export for SQL Server.
Q:
What is the easiest way to configure the template files for EMS Data Export for SQL Server console application?
A:
You can configure the template files for each table or export type visually using EMS Data Export for SQL Server Wizard. Set the required export options on Step 3 of the wizard and click the ‘Save Export Options‘ button . All the options will be saved to the template file, which can be used by the console application.
Q:
What is the difference between the Export function in EMS SQL Manager for SQL Server tool and EMS Data Export for SQL Server utility?
A:
Data Export for SQL Server includes some additional features, which are not available in SQL Manager for SQL Server such as:
  • Export data from several tables at once;
  • Export data from tables selected from different databases on one host;
  • Command line utility to Export data using the configuration file with all the Export options.
Q:
I‘ve downloaded a trial version of EMS Data Export for SQL Server, but not all records of the tables are exported. What’s the reason for this?
A:

This is a limitation of the trial version which exports only 20% of all records. With a registered version all the records are processed.
