Setting proxy properties


Use the Properties tab of Proxy Editor to configure/view proxy properties. SQL Server Agent uses proxies to manage security contexts.

 

Name

Enter a name for the new proxy, or modify the name of the proxy being edited. Enable/disable the proxy using the !CheckBox Enabled option.

Credential

Each proxy corresponds to a security credential. Use the drop-down list to select a credential for the proxy. By clicking the AddJobCategory Add button you can create a new credential using the Credential Editor. Double-click the selected credential to edit its properties.

 

Description

In this memo field you can supply an optional description for the proxy.
