Using New Project Wizard
An alternative way of setting project options and comparison settings when creating a new project is to use New Project Wizard.
To create a new project using New Project Wizard, select the File | New Project (using Wizard) main menu item or use the New Project (using Wizard)
button on the toolbar (you can also use the Ctrl+Alt+N shortcut for the same purpose).
You can also activate the wizard mode by clicking the Switch to Wizard view button in the Project Options dialog.
To return to the regular (Project Options dialog) view, click the Switch to Dialog view button available at each step of the wizard.
Set connection options for the master database. If both master and target databases reside on the same server, check the corresponding option to simplify Step 2 of the wizard. For details see Setting database options.
When done, press the Next button to proceed to Step 2.
Set connection options for the target database. For details see Setting database options.
When done, press the Next button to proceed to Step 3.
Set comparison options for the project being created. For detailed information see Setting compare options.
When done, press the Next button to proceed to Step 4.
Define common project options. The options are identical to those available in the Project Options dialog.
When done, press the Finish button to start the comparison process.
When the comparison process is finished, the project will loaded into the DB Comparer application automatically, and you will be able to start working with the project.
