SQL Manager 2005 for PostgreSQL ver. 3.6 released

We are pleased to announce new version of SQL Manager 2005 for PostgreSQL. You can download the newest version from the download page.

What's new in SQL Manager 2005 for PostgreSQL version 3.6?

  1. EnterpriseDB server support implemented.
  2. Export as SQL Script. Now you can specify DBMS server for which the script should be generated.
  3. SQL Editor.
    • Now it's possible to rename and move query tabs.
    • Query execution time is now displayed in hh:mm:ss format.
    • In some rare cases during the query execution the Range Check Error message appeared. Fixed now.
    • For the queries which allow data insert the ability to import data into the table implemented.
  4. DB Explorer.
    • The Add to Projects command is added. Now objects can be added by specifying them in the corresponding dialog, and not only by dragging into Projects folder.
    • After table duplication the indices and triggers of the new table were not displayed in DB Tree. Fixed now.
  5. Grid.
    • The 'Expand All' and 'Collapse All' context menu items added.
    • The 'Save column sorting' option is added for the 'Save and restore layout' mode.
    • The 'Paste Cell' menu item didn't work in Lite version. Fixed now.
    • The SQL sorting mode used to work incorrectly with the field names represented by SQL keywords. Fixed now.
    • When scrolling mouse wheel in Print Data view DB explorer used to be scrolled also. Fixed now.
  6. CPU usage significantly decreased.
  7. Extract Database.
    • Fixed the bug with incorrect handling of the functions bearing OUT as a parameter.
    • The wizard used to work improperly with the tables named "char". Fixed now.
  8. SQL Editors.
    • Opening object editor with the Ctrl+Enter shortcut used to ignore its scheme. Fixed now.
    • The Ctrl+Shift+Enter shortcut for pointing out the corresponding item in DB Explorer tree worked incorrectly. Fixed now.
    • SQL Formatter used to work improperly with ESC sequences in strings. Fixed now.
    • 'Select All' command didn't work correctly on text that had very long lines (more than 4096 symbols). Fixed now.
  9. HTTPS protocol could not be used for HTTP tunneling. Fixed now.
  10. Object file is displayed now in the DDL for the functions written in C.
  11. Controls at the toolbars now remain after installing a newer version of the product. To bring them to their default state you can use corresponding command from Windows menu or corresponding button in Environment Options dialog.
  12. Environment Options. Applying the 'Table details in SQL Assistant' option didn't have an effect on DB Explorer. Fixed now.
  13. Data Import wizard. When setting fields correspondence for import from Excel, selecting new column causes cursor to move to the first column in grid. Fixed now.
  14. Database Registration Info. When applying changes, the originality of database aliases used not to be checked. Fixed now.
  15. Visual Database Designer. Switching to another visual scheme didn't take any effect on context menu style. Fixed now.
  16. Many other small improvements and bugfixes.
