SQL Manager for Oracle version 2.3 released

We are pleased to announce the new minor version of SQL Manager for Oracle - a high performance tool for Oracle database server administration and development.

What's new in SQL Manager for Oracle 2.3?

  1. Added support of new Oracle 10g objects: Schedule Job Classes, Schedule Jobs, Schedule Window Group, Schedule Windows, Schedule schedules, Schedule programs, Schedule chains.
  2. Improved SQL Script performance. SQL statements parsing enhanced.
  3. Now table and view objects are not refreshed if the ‘Refresh on connect’ option is enabled.
  4. Object editors’ performance enhanced, the dependencies are loading faster when switching to the Dependencies Tab.
  5. DB Explorer.
    • The utility automatically hides SQL Assistant to increase performance.
    • It is now possible to drag-n-drop objects between different database groups.
    • The new tabs created in the DB Explorer were minimized after the utility restart. Fixed now.
  6. SQL Editor.
    • You can now save the text in ANSI or UNICODE.
    • With the ‘Asynchronous query execution’ option enabled, query syntax errors were not displayed. Fixed now.
    • When executing a query with the ‘Asynchronous query execution’ option disabled and then executing the same query with this option enabled, the Access Violation error occurred. Fixed now..
  7. Materialized View. It is now possible to create and edit partitions.
  8. Query Builder.
    • Select mode. The field created in the Selection section disappeared after saving and re-loading a diagram. Fixed now.
    • Update mode. The ‘Delete Current Row’ function deleted a row from the diagram only, not from the query text. Fixed now. 
    • After creating a query with a subquery at the Edit tab, the subsequent switching from the Edit tab to the Builder tab resulted in “ORA-00942: table or view does not exist” error. Fixed now.
  9. Even if the ‘Login prompt before connection’ option was enabled, the program stored the password in system register. Fixed now.
  10. Keyboard templates. The inactive templates became active after the utility restart. Fixed now.
  11. Other small improvements and bug fixes.
