Using Desktop Panel


Desktop Panel is the area that is visible when no child windows are open in SQL Manager for MySQL. The working area of Desktop Panel is divided into four sections: Getting Started, Database Tools, Help and Support, Internet Resources.

 

Getting started - Using Desktop Panel

 

 

Using the Desktop Panel items you can:

 

Getting Started section

iconDesktopPanel_CreateNewDB create a new MySQL database

iconDesktopPanel_ManageDB register existing database(s) to operate them afterwards in SQL Manager

iconDesktopPanel_CreateNewTable create a new table within the current database using the New Table window (this item is available if there is at least one active database connection)

iconDesktopPanel_CreateNewDBObject create a new database object within the current database (this item is available if there is at least one active database connection)

 

Database Tools section

iconDesktopPanel_ExecuteSQLScript execute a script using SQL Script Editor

iconDesktopPanel_ExecuteQuery execute a SQL query (this item is available if there is at least one active database connection)

iconDesktopPanel_ManagePermissions manage MySQL users (this item is available if there is at least one active database connection)

iconDesktopPanel_ManageUsers grant permissions on database objects to MySQL users using Grant Manager (this item is available if there is at least one active database connection)
