10/14/2005EMS comes to the final stage of re-branding.
New York, United States (October 14, 2005) – EMS, leaders in database administration software development, today announced the final stage of the re-branding process started a year ago. Within this stage EMS perform changes in current names of their database administration tools to the common name of “SQL Manager” which will now embrace all administration tools developed by the company.
“After moving our website to the new domain www.sqlmanager.net at the end of last year, we began the re-branding process during which we were planning to cease using server names inside our product names and within a year to unite all our administration tools under one common name of SQL Manager. Firstly, this will let us increase recognizability of our products and will give us new opportunities for promoting our products to the market,” said Vladimir Sokolov, President and CEO of EMS Database Management Solutions, Inc.
Additionally, in the new company product names there will be indicated the year of releasing the last major version of a product. Thus, the new product names will be as follows:
EMS SQL Manager 2005 for SQL Server
EMS SQL Manager 2005 for MySQL
EMS SQL Manager 2005 for PostgreSQL
EMS SQL Manager 2005 for InterBase/Firebird
As an additional product version number indicator, usual version numeration will remain. It will consist of two point-separated figures where the first figure stands for major version number and the second one stands for minor version number.
